Duties
Establishes and maintains processes to communicate changes in policies and procedures and issues of sensitive or general concern to all of the FAO staff.
Provides overall direction to the FAO regarding workforce development activities necessary to enhance and maximize the supervisory staffs leadership and interpersonal skills.
Ensures that auditors receive training required by Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS) and the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA).
Reviews requirements and program plans developed by subordinate audit teams and coordinates RAM review.

Basic Requirements:
Degree: accounting or a related field (such as business administration, finance, or public administration) that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours (or 36 quarter hours) in accounting (may include up to 6 hours of business law).
OR
Combination of education and experience: 4 years of accounting experience or a combination of accounting experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional accounting knowledge AND 24 semester hours (or 36 quarter hours) in accounting/auditing courses or a certificate as Certified Public Accountant or a Certified Internal Auditor.
Specialized Experience: In addition to meeting the basic requirements, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 or equivalent level. Specialized experience must be documented in your resume.
Specialized experience is defined as: Experience in supervising a team of professional auditors; leads the total audit program plan at a large defense contractor resident office or the total audit program plan at major contractor locations or sub-offices or the concurrent conduct of audits on a mobile basis at several different contractors; evaluates and appraises subordinate auditors performance, professional development, and training needs.
