Duties
You will evaluate and develop directives that implement high-level policy changes that impact significant Marine Corps information technology programs or projects.
You will analyzes statutory requirements against existing directives and policies to assess the degree of change necessary to comply with new requirements.
You will develop directives that implement high-level policy changes that impact significant Marine Corps information technology programs or projects.
You will address complex problems related to an IT enterprise architecture, such as hardware, operating system, programming, and networking solutions.
You will conduct research and develops white papers to inform and influence the course and direction of future information technology capabilities.
You will provide expert analysis and devise solutions for highly complex information technology problems, such as resolved critical issues affecting the configurations of the information technology infrastructure.
You will manage IT projects involving interrelated disciplines and multiple stages of the system development lifecycle.
Requirements

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area CyberPolicy/StrategyPlanner - INTERMEDIATE within 12 months of appointment.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying advanced IT principles, concepts, methods, and practices; preparing supporting strategic documents that shape the IT environment; ability to apply IT acquisition processes and operations to investigate and resolve technical communications and network challenges.
In addition to the specialized experience stated above your resume must demonstrate one year of experience supporting the following competencies:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: analyzing complex project or program-related information technology issues.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Providing expert analysis to customers or team members.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: developing recommendations and proposals based on completed research.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: analyzing complex problems where the success of the program is dependent on the technology solution.
