About the Position: This position is located at US Army Aviation and Missile Command; Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment Region West Office at Fort Cavazos, Texas.
Duties
Document the calibration process for calibrated instruments.
Utilize physical dimensional reference standards to ensure traceability.
Interpret electronic principles and/or practices to analyze calibration data.
Determine the functionality of the equipment or standard to make recommendations if it were to be taken out of service.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A pre-employment physical is required.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Precision Measurement Equipment Calibrator without more than normal supervision. I can perform precision measurement equipment calibrations on various types of electronic, electrical, and/or electromechanical systems. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

Physical Effort: The work may require long periods of standing or sitting along with some walking or bending during the course of extended periods on measurements. Requires frequent lifting, carrying, and handling of items weighing up to 40 pounds with occasional requirements to lift items in excess of 50 pounds.
Working Conditions: The work is performed in laboratories and user facilities where technicians are exposed to the hazards of high voltage high pressure, high and low temperatures, chemicals and radiation. Calibrators must comply with all safety regulations applicable to the calibration mission.
