Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Program Assistant. You can make a difference in the West by assisting in meeting increasing water demands while protecting the environment.
Duty Location: Glendale, Arizona. Full time telework is not available for this position.
Duties
The primary duties of this position are:
Plans, organizes, and performs various duties which include the accountability, safeguarding, and maintaining registers for incoming and outgoing certified, insured, and registered mail.
Assists the General Supply Specialist in maintaining inventory accountability and control of the non-expendable and durable property using the DOI Financial Business Management System (FBMS).
Operates motor vehicles such as trucks, vans, and sedans capable of carrying loads up to and including one ton to transport supplies and equipment. Assists in the coordination and completion of maintenance activities for GOV fleet vehicles.
Reviews Phoenix Area Office travel vouchers to assure compliance with Federal Travel Regulations and local policies.
Research correspondence, previous reports and other documentation, to gather data, statistics, and program information needed to report on a variety of issues.
Qualifications
Specialized Experience Requirements:
In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that you meet the education and/or specialized experience requirement - this information must be clearly supported in the resume.
You could otherwise qualify on the basis of Education having 1 full year of Graduate Level education OR Superior Academic Achievement. You may combine specialized experience and education to meet the minimum qualifications.
To qualify at the GS-07 grade level: your resume must reflect one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level performing ALL the following: Creating/editing reports, utilizing Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). Experience must reflect directing phone calls and visitors, maintaining calendars/scheduling meetings, handling payroll/timekeeping and travel arrangements for others.
The superior academic achievement provision is to be used to determine eligibility for applicable GS-07 level positions of persons who have completed (or expect to complete within 9 months) all the requirements for bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a qualifying grade point average (GPA), class standing, or honors society. Applicants eligible under the Land Management Workforce Flexibility Act (LMWFA) are not required to meet time-in-grade restrictions in order to be considered.

Education
This vacancy announcement allows substituting education for experience. You must submit a copy of college transcript(s) (unofficial copy is acceptable) to support claimed education if substituting education for experience.
