About the Position: You will serve as a Supply Technician within the NBRHLTH Clinic NAS North Island located within the Patient Administration Department. Environment: Supply Room: Hours: 0700-1530

Duties

Utilize computer automated systems to complete supply tasks. Coordinate with various vendors to resolve supply issues. Reconcile supply invoices for efficiency and correctness. Prepare local purchase documents to purchase medical and non-medical items.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter .
• This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
• This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
• This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Specialized Experience: One year specialized experience with routine supply transactions and/or providing supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies; performing routine aspects of supply technician work based on supply procedures and regulations, to include updating and maintaining automated supply database system and producing supply requests and reports; and conduct research of automated catalogs to locate more cost-effective products.
