The purpose of this position is to independently manage USS RED ROVER's automated records
documentation program and to provide general administrative support to Immunizations, Medical
Assessment, and Female Wellness Divisions. The automated process utilizes desktop automation
and macros recorder to perform multiple taskers by extracting data from desktop applications. This position is located at the VA Medical Center in North Chicago, IL.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience: You must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-5) in Federal Service, that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of an Office Automation Assistant GS-6 position, and that is typically in or related to the work of this position. Specialized experience includes utilizing Office Automation software (e.g., WIN) to manage automated records; performing routine business process automation, monitor automated systems, isolate problems, and perform correction.

IMPORTANT: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of light items like paper or books. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
