You will serve as a Quality Assurance Specialist (Aircraft) in the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast, Compliance & Quality Department, and Quality Control Inspection Division of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.
Duties
You will assist in developing plans, procedures and techniques for implementing and maintaining a viable Quality Assurance program.
You will review Quality systems and perform statistical analysis of Quality data, with guidance.
You will assist in the development of Quality trends and status reports for use by management in making decision for corrective action.
You will utilize knowledge of rework procedures, documentation and technical specifications relative to rework of aircrafts, engines, components and accessories.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Physical exertion requires moderate lifting and carrying under 40 pounds. Less than 5% of the time.
- Will be required at times to climb work stands or aircraft and work at heights of 40 feet for periods of one to two hours.
- The work requires walking, standing, sitting, crouching, crawling, stooping, kneeling, behind, or squatting for periods of two to four hours.
- Requires both eyes, arms, and legs due to working in eye hazard areas, inspections, and required climbing, Near vision correctable at 14" to Jaeger 2 and far vision correctable in one eye to 20/20.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing the following:1) evaluating rework procedures, documentation and technical specifications relative to rework of aircraft, engines, components, accessories and associated logs and records; 2) applying quality assurance principles and techniques, specifically within aviation; and 3) reviewing quality or verification procedures in accordance with local instructions, standardize rules and other corresponding technical data.

Education
The following education may be substituted in lieu of experience:
One full year of graduate level education with major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or another field directly related to the position.
OR
A bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement with major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or another field directly related to the position.
