The primary purpose of this position is to perform production management oversight and analysis for end item Support Equipment for the designated organization.
Duties
Performs a variety of Production Management Specialist (PMS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) and squadron liaison functions.
Serves as the organization's PMS SME for establishing the time phasing of program elements compatible with Air Force planning objectives.
Serves as organization's PMS SME for quality control and compliance.
Attends regular meetings, briefings, and conferences dealing with production management business areas assigned.
Prepares and delivers written or oral presentations such as briefings, training sessions, and strategy sessions with functional members, organizational leadership, supporting groups, and other activities.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions and General Business and Industry Series, 1101. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes performing duties that used: Thorough knowledge of principles, policies, legal requirements, and practices of wholesale supply chain management principles processes, concepts, and methodologies for End Item Support Equipment to effectively apply analytical and evaluation methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning their efficiency and effectiveness; Thorough knowledge of logistics management concepts, policies, methods and regulatory requirements in assigned functional/program area; Practical knowledge of inventory management, financial management, and production management business areas related to planning, budgeting funding, procuring, and executing the customers' requirements; Basic knowledge of broad range of logistics, programming, financial management and supply and maintenance systems; Skill in developing, revising, and updating effective sustainment and logistics plans; and Skill in collecting, organizing, analyzing and reporting data for the purpose of identifying negative trends, root cause analysis, and development of corrective actions and/or process improvements. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-?grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

Ability to effectively utilize oral and written communications to interact with team members, supervisors, Group and Senior Leaders, and external organizations, negotiate complex issues while maintaining good working relationships.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
