You will serve as a Supervisory Regional Dispatch Center Specialist in the Emergency Management of COMNAVREGSW SDIEGO.

Duties

You will use a dispatch communication software program (e.g., Computer Aided Dispatch [CAD], Emergency Medical Dispatch [EMD]. Border Tactical Radio System) to dispatch emergency resources. You will analyze images displayed on a closed circuit television (CCTV) system to identify threats and suspicious activity. You will coordinate notifications with other agencies to determine suitable jurisdiction and level of service to be rendered.

• Incumbent is required to be certified as a State Telecommunicator I and II, level II State Access operator, and certified in Criteria Based Dispatch.
• Incumbent is required to have successfully completed Emergency Medical Dispatch Trainer course, NESCOM Course 3474 and all other training as assigned.
• Incumbent is required to successfully complete the RDC Training Program to include classroom and On-The-Job Training.
• Incumbent is categorized as emergency essential and as such may be ordered to report to duty for extended periods under emergency conditions.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Dispatching appropriate emergency personnel; 2) Utilizing emergency dispatch and radio communications; 3) Coordinating with local and state public safety agencies; 4) Enforcing the Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement (QA/QI) plan for the dispatch center; 5) Supporting the development, instruction and coordination of an Emergency Dispatch Centers training program.
