You will serve as a FACILITIES OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the COMMAND SERVICES DEPARTMENT, FACILITIES, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT DIV of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS.

Duties

You will develop and maintain Shore Facilities Planning Documents identifying Basic Facility Requirements (BFR) and assets of NAVOCEANO and other Meteorology and Oceanography (METEOC) Commands at Stennis Space Center. You will be responsible for the generation of work requests; advise the Facilities Officer of spending documents (i.e.. Region Found, Spend Plan, maintenance contract etc.) to ensure sufficient founds are available. You will develop plans for the construction and/or modification of facilities needed to meet NAVOCEANO needs. You will review and validate space, facilities, and equipment needs, ensuring consistency with established facilities standards and stated functional responsibilities.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience analyzing and evaluating data collected for purpose of efficiency and effectiveness of facility program operations, facilities requirements, conducting facilities studies, recommending the allocation of space, plan for future facilities, manage and execute funding and cost estimates; coordinating/preparing written directives, instructions, and specifications dealing with facility modifications and alterations; managing furniture and equipment; managing facilities maintenance, repair, and construction projects scopes; and providing several other services in support of the facilities needs.
