You will serve as a DEPUTY PROGRAM MANAGER for the SOCOM Maritime Undersea Systems Program executed jointly with the UNDERSEA SPECIAL MISSION SYSTEMS PROGRAM OFFICE (PMS 390) of PEO SSN.
Duties
You will lead the NAVSEA/PEO-M team through all aspects of design, production and fielding of the Dry Combat Submersible.
You will oversee and ensure contracting strategy is executed to the acquisition schedule.
You will work with the financial team to ensure funding strategy and execution meets program and statutory requirements.
You will oversee complex acquisition, production, delivery, and/or post-delivery efforts.
You will have demonstrated experience with NAVSEA Deep Submergence/Scope of Certification (DSS/SOC), SUBSAFE or other certification/classing/quality programs.
You will coordinate with PEO-M Undersea Systems Program Office, and PEO SSN and NAVSEA to ensure efforts required to achieve platform design/production/fielding and submarine modifications are conducted in accordance with acquisition schedule.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 pay band (or GS-13 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector managing acquisition program requirements (e.g., contracts, manpower, technical performance, production schedules, delivery and/or post-delivery efforts, budget planning and execution) to ensure the operational readiness, maintenance, or modernization of ships or submarines.
