Duties

You will maintain the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) database program. You will research supply data for stock number, prices, descriptions, and other data to determine proper coding/classification of supply requisitions, lines or accounting, shipping orders, and other documents used for the Naval Supply system. You will manage the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO) by screening excess property for transfer and maintaining files and supporting documentation to update accounting databases. You will review and approve all data entered into the Supply Management database.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain a forklift license.

Qualifications

Applicants must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly relates to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: Applying supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions related to telecommunications and information technology equipment. Utilizing Navy Supply requisitioning procedures including MILSTRIP/DAAS System and CASREP requisitioning for both National Stock Number (NSN) and Non-NSN material. Maintaining and managing Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO), and Supply Function Management programs and databases to ensure property inventories. Researching supply data and recommending substitutions when required items are not available.
