You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the PROGRAMS AND RESOURCES DEPARTMENT, SPECIAL PROGRAMS BRANCH of the HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will conduct continuing security analysis of program(s) to which assigned and recommended improvements and corrective measures to upgrade security administration, procedures and processes.
You will prepare security specifications for program procurements.
You will provide security guidance and support to USMC activities and contractors; inspect facilities to ensure continued compliance with U.S. Government security policy standards and requirements.
You will prepare reports of investigations including recommendations for disciplinary and other remedial actions.
You will administer security indoctrinations and debriefings.
You will prepare correspondence, reports and other documentation related to the full range of specialized security functions.
You will brief higher authorities on the currency and accuracy of program security; include elemental status with analysis of program patterns and trends potentially affecting security postures.
You will provide on-the-job training to assigned security personnel.
You will investigate security discrepancies, infractions, and violations.
Requirements

- Incumbent must hold a Top Secret security clearance based on satisfactory completion of a current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) which has been adjudicated and determined to meet the required personnel security standards.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement and when required must submit to and pass a polygraph examination.
- This position is eligible for part time, full time or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: maintaining administration and execution of a multi-layer security special access program and/or sensitive activities; managing complex security operations to include the successful Certification and Accreditation of new facilities; provide the full range of security guidance to command staff and activities.
