Duties
As a Management Analyst, you will:
Develop management plans, procedures, and methodology;
Conduct studies of efficiency and recommends changes or improvements in organization, staffing, or procedures;
Develop procedures and systems for establishing, operating, and assessing the effectiveness of control systems such as those designed to prevent waste, loss, unauthorized use, or misappropriation of assets.
Identify resources (staff, funding, equipment of facilities) required to support varied levels of program operations;
Review administrative audits and investigative reports to recommend appropriate changes or corrective action required.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-12 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized Experience for this position includes:
Providing program support and assistance to facilitate the analysis and/or development of policy, procedures, instructions, legislation, and/or research; AND
Researching and/or investigating new or improved management practices for application to programs or operations; AND
Identifying data required for use in the management and/or direction of programs.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-12 you must have been at the GS-11 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
