We are currently seeking an innovative and strategic Program Manager to join the Department of Program Services (DPS) in the National Program Development Division, which operates in the Probation and Pretrial Services Office. This role plays a crucial part in upholding our core values and driving our mission forward, aiming to support the field in achieving the objective of crime reduction.
Duties
This Program Manager position will have primary responsibility for policy, program development and support for evidence-informed supervision practices for both pretrial and post-conviction supervision. In addition, this role will expand to support other programs addressing specialized groups and offering unique program services. This position will collaborate with staff in other PPSO divisions to provide implementation technical knowledge and training to support various projects and initiatives. This position requires someone with a demonstrated ability to inspire and lead teams, coupled with a deep understanding of a judicial or law enforcement system and/or proven experience in a similar role. Key duties include, but are not limited to:
Planning and defining the program's objectives, devising a detailed plan that includes all the projects involved, and defining the resources required.
Analyzing data, monitoring trends, and making recommendations to improve the effectiveness of all aspects of the mission related to pretrial services and post-conviction supervision.
Providing chiefs, supervisors, and other district staff with implementation assistance for all office initiatives.
Collaborating with staff in other PPSO divisions to provide implementation technical knowledge and support for various projects and initiatives.
Reviewing the program's outcomes against its original objectives and use the learnings to improve future programs.
Managing relationships with all levels of staff, external stakeholders, vendors, and providing superior customer service to both internal and external audiences.
Communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, to diverse audiences.
Qualifications
Applicants must have demonstrated experience as listed below. This requirement is according to the AO Classification, Compensation, and Recruitment Systems which include interpretive guidance and reference to the OPM Operating Manual for Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions.
Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience which is in or directly related to the line of work of this position. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience in managing large scale, high impact programs. Demonstrated experience in change managementand adapting program plans to change in the organization's environment, stakeholder requirements, or other unforeseen circumstances.
