This position is located in the Auto Hobby Shop of the Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department. The primary purpose of this position is to provide information and to assist patrons utilizing the vehicle storage facilities and the Auto Hobby Shop.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate possess the following: Must possess a valid drivers' license Six months experience in an auto hobby shop environment. Knowledge of a vehicle storage operation. Knowledge of a computer data base. Knowledge of receiving and stocking of merchandise. Ability to maintain up-to-date information. Ability to maintain records and reports. Knowledge and ability to identify hazardous material. Ability to carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to communicate effectively with others. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Must possess a valid drivers' license. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Work may require considerable physical exertion while instructing or guiding participants in a variety of activities. Work may require sitting, walking, long periods of standing, bending and lifting of moderate heavy items up to 50 pounds, occasionally required to lift heavier items. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, without a fixed schedule. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Irregular working hours may be required to include early shift, late shift, evenings, weekends and holidays when the need arises. Subject to recall. Wears protective clothing and equipment as situations warrant. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Must have or be able to obtain within 90 days of being placed in the position,and maintain a valid state drivers' license in order to transport patrons off-base.
