Duties
This position serves as the Management and Program Analyst for the Branch of Public Affairs in the Office of the State Director for the Utah State Office.
Assist with scheduling and planning Resources Advisory Committee (RAC) and Monument Advisory Committee (MAC) meeting calls.
Routes appropriate packages to the RAC and MAC.
Routing packages and correspondence through State Office authorities for approval. Once approved, routing those packages/correspondence to Headquarters (HQ).
Scheduling and planning travel for the communications team.
Schedule strategic communication planning workshops.
Briefs reports to managers or the supervisor on findings and recommendations.
Works with management, program leads, and other analysts to ensure the information gathered is complete and technically accurate.
Provides administrative support on records, communications, directives, forms, files, and documentation.
Develop a program or administrative reporting system, including system specifications, data gathering and analytical techniques, and systems evaluation methodology.
Review audit and investigative reports to determine the required changes or corrective action.

To qualify at the GS-07 level you must meet the following:
Specialized Experience: Applicants must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 level that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of a Management and Program Analyst. Examples of specialized experience are providing clerical, administrative, or technical office work duties to an organization/office, such as scheduling and coordinating meetings, conferences, and travel to staff; processing incoming and outgoing materials in an office environment (e.g., correspondence, reports, memoranda, etc.); locating and compiling data or information from files and other data sources and assisting management, program leads, or other analysts to complete program tasks accurately.
OR Education: To qualify based on education you must have 18 semester hours of graduate level education leading to a master's or equivalent degree in a related field.
Or Superior Academic Achievement: (See OPM's General Policies, Application of Qualification Standards Section 4.f.) S.A.A. must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled.
OR Combination of Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and specialized experience may be used to meet total experience requirements if it has provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
To qualify at the GS-09 level you must meet the following:
Specialized Experience: Applicants must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 level that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of a Management and Program Analyst. Examples of specialized experience are providing administrative and technical office support duties to an organization/office, such as scheduling and coordinating large meetings and conferences; processing complex travel authorizations and bookings using dedicated software; suggesting changes or corrective actions on incoming and outgoing materials (e.g., correspondence, reports, memoranda, etc.) and routing through authorities for approval; utilizing computer programs to create, retrieve, update, manipulate, and store electronic data; and briefing managers or supervisors on program tasks, findings, and recommendations.
OR Education: To qualify based on education you must have a master's or equivalent degree in a related field or 36 semester hours of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.
OR Combination of Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and specialized experience may be used to meet total experience requirements if it has provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. Only graduate education in excess of 18 semester hours may be used to qualify.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
