Highly Desired Skillsets :
Experience conducting manufacturing assessments and related relevant manufacturing, quality, mission assurance and supply chain activities.
Experience with the production, testing and acceptance of weapons systems or complex designs.
Strong background in manufacturing, quality, supply chain and design.
Familiar with and have implementation experience of manufacturing and quality tools and measurements.
Systems Engineering experience with weapon systems
Experience preparing technical reports and briefs.
Nuclear weapon experience highly desired
Five or more years of relevant technical experience is desired.
DUTIES:
Serves as lead technical manufacturing engineer/analyst providing guidance on manufacturing, mission assurance, quality, and supply chain engineering for organizational program.
Plans, organizes, and directs manufacturing, mission assurance, quality, and supply chain engineering analysis activities for his/her assigned area.
Recommends design and/or test methods and statistical analysis approaches for achieving required and verifying levels of product reliability.
Reviews system design, conducts manufacturing assessments, and perform analysis of hardware and software integration, and makes recommendations to resolve deficiencies to ensure manufacturing and quality has been appropriately incorporated into design.
Performs data analysis to include long lead impacts, learning curve, statistical process control (CpK), cost, root cause, corrective action, and test thoroughness.
Provides direct communication with contractors and will be responsible to help manage contractor performance against technical performance, cost, and schedule.
Participates in failure review boards, determine root cause failure analysis, and drive corrective actions forward to completion.
Assesses process control of critical manufacturing processes, PFMECAs, critical supply chain and obsolescence.
Reviews and makes recommendations to other IPT plans to ensure manufacturing and quality requirements are met.
Assesses Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and other system change requests to identify and quantify manufacturing risks and impacts.
Represents Manufacturing IPT at program office Risk Boards, Configuration Control Boards, Material Review Boards, various contractor meetings, management reviews and engagements to include supplier assessments and surveillance.
Prepare manufacturing assessment reports with analysis of meeting manufacturing and quality requirements to support Production Readiness Review.

- This position will be coded under the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP), Engineering and Technical Management Practitioner certification.
- Locations are not negotiable. The actual duty locations available may be located on the Air Force Civilian Service website.
