VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS) is seeking a permanent, full time Program Support Assistant (PSA) to serve in the Medicine/Specialty Care Service Line. The Program Support Assistant is responsible for supportive administrative duties impacting the large medical specialty care services. The PSA assists the Division Chiefs in the Service Line as assigned to maintain the organization and efficiencies within the clinical divisions.
Duties
The Program Support Assistant (Medicine) may support a variety of Medicine divisions at both University Drive and H.J. Heinz and crosses all disciplines of healthcare workers. Major Duties Include:

Qualifications

GS-06 grade level: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-5 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes: administrative support, entering database information, compiling, and disseminating information, generating a variety of reports, preparing correspondence, filing, typing, transcribing from minutes; effective communication, both orally and in writing, with all internal and external stakeholders to assist with program objectives.
There is no educational substitution for the GS-06 level.
