Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work approximately 6 months in pay status, and you will be in a non-pay status 6 months (months ranging from October- April) depending on weather.

Duties
The major duties of the Maintenance Worker WG-4749-07 position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Performs minor plumbing installations and repairs.
Assist journeyman Electrician and HVAC technicians with park electrical, heating, and air conditioning system maintenance.
Performs minor repairs and maintenance to buildings (carpentry, painting, masonry).
Operates small equipment (forklift, scissor lift, skid steer).
Qualifications
To qualify, there is no specific length of training or experience required; however, your resume must demonstrate enough experience to show your ability to perform the duties of a Maintenance Worker without more than normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
Ability To Do the Work of the Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT)
Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprints reading)
Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc.
Knowledge of materials, Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic)
Use of Measuring Instruments
