The incumbent will serve as the Program Support Assistant for Patient Care Services - Telehealth at the Fort Wayne Campus. He/she will provide program support for all aspects of VA Northern Indiana Health Care System (VANIHCS) Patient Care Service, coordinating activities to assure Patient Care Service - Telehealth office operations are completed appropriately and timely.

GS-06 grade level: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes: providing training to other staff regarding administrative procedures; managing and monitor an office budget; tracking and compiling data for reporting purposes; performing office automation duties using software applications such as e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, databases; composing, typing and editing letters and reports; public contact work; maintaining suspense action files to ensure deadlines are met; maintaining appointments, schedules and calendars; coordinating meetings and conferences; and, ordering and monitoring office supplies and equipment; Performs a basic analysis of the data and generates a variety of reports. Performs typing work, whether from voice recordings or written material. Utilizes basic software and printing functions. Establishes protocols for incoming data, organizes computerized data sets, and retrieves computerized data. Prepares, composes, or reviews correspondence prepared for the purpose of obtaining or supplying information. Follows up to ensure observance of deadlines and coordination of internal comments and clearance. NOTE: Experience must be fully documented on your resume and must include job title, duties, month and year start/end dates AND hours worked per week.
There is no educational substitution for the GS-06 level.
