The incumbent will serve as the Program Support Assistant for Patient Care Services - Telehealth at the Fort Wayne Campus. He/she will provide program support for all aspects of VA Northern Indiana Health Care System (VANIHCS) Patient Care Service, coordinating activities to assure Patient Care Service - Telehealth office operations are completed appropriately and timely.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 07/20/2021.
Time-in-grade: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
GS-06: Applicants must have served a minimum of 52 weeks at or above the GS-05 level in Federal Service to meet the time-in-grade requirements for GS-06.
Specialized Experience: Applicants must have One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-05) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to specialized experience may have been gained performing clerical and administrative support duties including providing training to other staff regarding administrative procedures; managing and monitor an office budget; tracking and compiling data for reporting purposes; performing office automation duties using software applications such as e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, databases; composing, typing and editing letters and reports; public contact work; maintaining suspense action files to ensure deadlines are met; maintaining appointments, schedules and calendars; coordinating meetings and conferences; and, ordering and monitoring office supplies and equipment.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
