This position is located in the Division of Resolutions and Receiverships, Asset Marketing and Management Branch of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. The incumbent is responsible for identifying, managing, pricing and analyzing capital market instruments with the highest level complexity.
Duties
-Serves as a preeminent expert in the area of complex capital market instruments responsible for identifying, managing, pricing, and analyzing capital market instruments with the highest-level complexity prior to bank failure, through and including the corresponding liquidation of those assets retained in the subsequent receivership.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 14 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience 1) managing, pricing, and liquidating/selling complex capital markets instruments or structuring and monitoring compliance of structured transactions (i.e. securitizations) OR 2) performing financial or economic analyses identifying and evaluating sources of credit, liquidity, market, and other capital markets risks in a financial institution environment.
