This position is located in the Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection, Administrative Management and Operations Branch at the Headquarters of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation responsible for implementing strategies to manage knowledge and information as a strategic asset.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional qualifications information can be found here. CG-11: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 09 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience assisting in implementing strategies to manage knowledge and information systems as a strategic asset and consulting on instructional programs. OR EDUCATION:  Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or an LL.M., if related.   OR COMBINATION: A combination of graduate level education and specialized experience that together meet the qualification requirements. CG-12: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 11 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience assisting in implementing strategies to manage knowledge and information systems as a strategic asset and developing or consulting on instructional programs; and applying communication methodologies, and technologies to disseminate information. Applicants must have met the qualification requirements (including selective placement factors – if any) for this position within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement.
