Open to all current Office of Labor-Management Standards (OLMS) employees with competitive status. This position is that of Labor Investigator in the Division of Enforcement (DOE), Office of Labor-Management Standards (OLMS). The incumbent, operating under the supervision of the Chief, Division of Enforcement. This position is outside the bargaining unit.

Duties

The duties of the Labor Investigator are as follows: - Participates in the development of OLMS civil enforcement policies. - Participates in the development of OLMS enforcement programs. - Reviews and evaluates OLMS civil enforcement. - Coordinates on civil enforcement matter with OLMS field offices. - Reviews investigative results and recommends appropriate dispositive action in designated case types.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Candidate required to obtain the necessary security/investigation level.
  • Requires a probationary period if the requirement has not been met.

Qualifications

You must meet the "Specialized Experience" to qualify for Labor Investigator, as described below. For GS-14 Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-13 in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience is the experience obtained in a civil investigation position that required the responsibility to research issues, elicit specific information, and conduct civil enforcement matters and/or responsibility in accessing and developing agency enforcement strategies and programs.
