This position is located at US Mint,MINT/HQ/Dir/CAO/Human Capital/Human Capital Man Div. As a/an HR Policy Specialist, you will provide policy development, oversight, and consultative advice in support of Mint-wide staffing, classification, recruitment, and compensation programs.

Duties

As a/an HR Policy Specialist, you will: Conduct intensive policy/regulatory reviews and evaluations in one or more HR specializations. Assess the effectiveness and relevance of current polices, practices, procedures, and guidelines as they relate to HR operations, systems, and advisory services. Provide substantive proposals and recommendations to senior HR leadership regarding HR issues and policy. Finalize plans, instructions, guides, and other substantive material for use by management officials and operating human resources offices in administering HR programs.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience managing the full life cycle for employees in the Senior Executive Service (SES), this includes advising on the recruitment process and performance management program; AND Experience performing advisory services on Federal Human Resources staffing, classification and compensation programs. This includes researching, interpreting and applying internal and external guidelines and policies and reviewing new and/or revised regulatory material such as Federal, agency, and bureau personnel and pay regulations in order to identify areas of improvement and make recommendations to management; AND Experience drafting and implementing new or revised staffing, classification and compensation related policies, guidance or standard operating procedures. This includes measuring and tracking policy performance and effectiveness, conducting program related evaluations and studies, and communicating findings to stakeholders. For the GS-13 you must have been at the GS-12level for 52 weeks.
