This position is part of the Correspondence Management Group, Office of the Executive Secretariat, Office of Management, Department of Energy. As a Document Management Analyst, you will be responsible for the receipt, review, analysis, and assignment of a wide range of diverse documents, papers, and correspondence on national and international subjects and issues related to the Cabinet-level responsibilities of the Secretary of Energy.

As a Document Management Analyst, you will be:

- This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing thereafter. Failure to test or a positive result on random drug tests conducted after appointment may result in removal from Federal employment.
- A preliminary background check must be completed before a new employee can begin work. Current Federal employees or other individuals with an existing completed background investigation may not be required to undergo another background check.
- This position has been designated as Critical-Sensitive and requires a security clearance at the Q level. The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain this clearance level; failure to do so may result in separation from federal service.
- This position does not support 100% remote work. You will be required to report physically to the official reporting worksite as specified by the supervisor, but no less than 2 days per pay period.
Qualifications
GS-11 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following:
Reviewing and assigning controlled correspondence and updating data entered in the document management system;
Conducting research in the document management system to identify historical facts relating to issues or correspondence;
Assisting with action items, determining concurrences, and controlling correspondence to the appropriate office; and
Knowledge or training on security policies and procedures.

GS-11 EDUCATION: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education at the GS-11 grade level you must have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or at least 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. if related. (Must include official transcripts with application package).

COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used. (Must include official transcripts with application package).
GS-12 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following:
Reviewing, analyzing, and assigning critical executive correspondences to appropriate offices;
Utilizing web-based document management system to assign, track and report on critical executive correspondence;
Managing records throughout the entire lifecycle, from the creation of new records to final disposition activities; and
Assisting with implementing security policies, procedures, and education programs.
"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

CTAP/ICTAP candidates: To be considered "well qualified" you must (1) meet all of the requirements as described in this section; and 2) be rated "well-qualified", which is defined as having a score of 85 or better.
