About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Logistics Activity ULA. Incumbent serves as the principal assistant to the ULA senior managers, division and district supervisors on matters pertaining to the workforce management activities, its position and organizational structure, and Full-time equivalent (FTE) allocation and labor relations.
Duties
Provides managers with briefings, data, or analyses on personnel actions.
Serves as liaison between the Human Resources office and managers or supervisors.
Conducts studies to locate, generate, compile and present a variety of historic/background information supporting data that is required by managers for making decisions.
Reviews information and data to assure that this information is accurate, objective, complete, and usable.
Composes electronic requests for personnel action documents to Human Resources office.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level of Federal service, includes providing administrative support to managers and supervisors for personnel management; reviewing information and data to assure that this information is accurate, objective, complete, and usable; preparing paperless (i.e., electronic) transactions for managers, supervisors, or the Human Resources office as required; and researching data for proposed personnel actions.

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a related field such as Business Management or Human Resources Management. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
Education
