This position is located in the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation's (PBGC), Office of Negotiations and Restructuring (ONR), Corporate Finance and Restructuring Department (CFRD), Corporate Finance and Restructuring Group (CFRG).

Duties
The candidate selected for this position will:

- You must be a U.S. citizen
- You may undergo a personnel security background investigation
- Selective Service registration required for male applicants, unless exempt
- If selected you must;
- Sign a Pathways Internship Program agreement and adhere to program requirements
- Provide official documentation of enrollment status when requested;
- Obtain the approval of Pathways Program Manager prior to making any changes in academics and/or work schedule;
- Perform successfully the assigned duties listed in the position description
- Adhere to all laws, rules, regulations and policies of PBGC.
- Pathways Internship Program Requirements
- If you are graduating at the end of the semester, you are not eligible for this position, you are not eligible for the position.
- Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9. Federal law requires verification of the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires in the U.S.
- Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency
- Selected applicants will be required to complete an online onboarding process
Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: In order to be considered qualified for this position you must meet one of the following qualification requirements (education, experience, or a combination of education and experience): if you are graduating at the end of the semester, you are not eligible for the position.Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the private sector researching, calculating, and analyzing financial data. Examples include: analyzing financial statements and documents for compliance with reporting requirements; reviewing financial statements for completeness; and testing formulas or calculations.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent combinations of the education and experience above may be combined to meet the total qualification requirements. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT(S): In order to be considered and remain eligible for this position you must meet all of the following Pathways Program requirements as indicated by your transcript and/or proof of enrollment.GPA requirement: Undergraduate students must be in “Good Standing” and maintain a cumulative and overall GPA of 2.5 or higher. Graduate students must have a semester and cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. (If your University does not utilize the traditional grading system, you must submit proof of the grading system used with your application or your application will not be considered
Academic Standing Requirement: You must be (and remain) in good academic standing i.e., (you must not be on academic probation). Enrollment Requirement: You must be and remain enrolled at least half-time.Work Schedule Requirement: We ask that all Interns work at least 30 hours per week and full-time during the summer and holidays.Additional Information About the Pathways Program:If this is your first semester, you must submit your acceptance letter and/or proof of class enrollment from an accredited institution. Failure to send these documents will result in your name being removed from consideration for this position.All qualifications and eligibility requirements be met by the closing date of this announcement.
