This position is located in Field Operations Directorate, Office of Field Operations, DISTRICT 42.
As a Management and Program Analyst, you will create and implement solutions for adjudication and administrative processes, or related areas using a wide range of quantitative and qualitative methods.
Duties
Utilizes process improvement methodologies to examine, address and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Immigration benefit adjudication and administrative processes.
Consults with component training officials on quality management subjects for the development and delivery of new and/or improved training courses.
Conducts reviews of production activities and capabilities considering clerical functions, adjudication, and contract quality requirements.
Utilizes quantitative and qualitative process indicators for data interpretation to improve organizational performance.
Knowledge of USCIS administrative laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to the processing of immigration and citizenship benefits requests and associated clerical processes.
Qualifications
The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 08/16/2023.
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 08/16/2023.

Do you possess certification in process improvement? Examples: Lean, Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma, Total Quality Management (TQM), Business Process Management (BPM), Kaizen, Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA), ISO 9001, Business Process Re-engineering (BPR), Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC), OR Other Process Improvement Certification.
GS-13: You qualify at the GS-13 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
Preparing and maintaining fi les documenting patterns or trends for use in providing feedback to supervisors or to identify training needs
Planning and implementing quality improvement projects to develop, document and implement solutions
Analyzing program needs, recommending policies and formulating procedures for local offices and managers
Preparing reports regarding quality assurance activities for submission to appropriate offices
