You will serve as an Administrative Officer in the Program & Business Analysis Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Duties

You will provide a broad range of administrative advice and services, especially in personnel and organizational management. You will provide solution-oriented advice on administrative, and personnel issues to management. You will work closely with the CBA Business Resource Office in submitting personal actions, such as hiring requests, promotions, awards, etc. for processing through Human Resources. You will assist in identifying and implementing successful processes. You will ensure compliance with established criteria e.g., employee relations, personnel laws, rules, regulations and labor relations.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for STRL jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower band level. This requirement is called time-in-band. Time-in-band requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05-08) or pay band (DA-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of an Administrative Officer. Specialized experiences must include some or all of the following: (1) Demonstrating knowledge of administrative functions and services regarding a variety of personnel actions; (2) Exhibiting experience in assisting with analyzing and tracking personnel actions; and (3) Demonstrating intermediate Excel skills and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast paced and complex environment. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D., if related
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
