DCSA's Consolidated Adjudication Services is looking for a dynamic Personnel Security Specialists to review complex adjudicative decisions made by a large number of certified security specialist. This role requires a change agent with the ability to prepare/deliver presentations, briefings, training sessions, and the ability to foster relationships with multiple stakeholders. As a PERSONNEL SECURITY SPECIALIST you will be responsible for the following duties:

- Employee must obtain and maintain the DoD Personnel Security Adjudicator Professional Certification within 2 years of placement and;
- If applicable, obtain the Due Process Credential within 6 months of completing all requisite training and experience as a condition of employment.
- The DoD Personnel Security Adjudicator Professional Certification must be maintained during every 2-year period following initial certification.
- May be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays and/or overtime.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station.

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade (GS/GG-11) in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility.
Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Reviewing personnel security questionnaires that contain issues concerning national security.
Preparing correspondence on Continuous Evaluation and Personnel Security matters.
Composes letters of intent with statement of reasons and final revocation/denial.
Developing materials for briefings aimed at providing guidance, resolution of problems, and assurance of coordinated/uniform personnel security operations.

4. Self-Management - Sets well-defined and realistic personal goals; displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner; works with minimal supervision; is motivated to achieve; demonstrates responsible behavior.
5. Writing - Recognizes or uses correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling; communicates information (for example, facts, ideas, or messages) in a succinct and organized manner; produces written information, which may include technical material that is appropriate for the intended audience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
