About the Position: The installation rests in the beautiful 'hill and lake' country of Central Texas between Killeen and Copperas Cove and is approximately 60 miles north of the capital city of Austin, 50 miles south of Waco, 160 miles south of Dallas, and 150 miles north of San Antonio. Duties

Perform a variety of administrative/technical and associated typing/office automation duties related to the processing of work management data in systems such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS). Interpret and apply regulations, manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies and directives, contracts, agreements, Memorandums of Understanding, sometimes in difficult and complicated transactions. Process Work Requests, DMO?s, and PMO?s through operation of the Work Management Customer Service Area, Area Shop Work Control Center, for the assigned work center (WC), entire installation, tenant activities, and other authorized customers.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes review work requests for appropriate information and documentation; utilize automated systems such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS); and perform general office automation work to include competing forms, reports, correspondence, etc. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Proficiency Requirement: This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or fewer errors. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementClericalCustomer Service (Clerical/Technical)Database Management Systems Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-???????06).
