You will serve as an Operations Flights Support Specialist in the Dept of Navy, Navel Test Wing Pacific, Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Three Zero of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU.
Duties
You will be the administrator and main point of contact for the Flight Information Scheduling and Tracking (FIST) Program.
You will be involved in the testing of the FIST program including informing users of changes and problems, interfacing between the users and developers at Patuxent River to discuss issues, modifications and changes.
You will be approving access for VX-30 personnel and providing day-to-day oversight and training to the Military Flight Scheduler personnel (military personnel perform this function on a rotating basis).
You will provide FIST user training to all FIST users including new users, i.e., maintenance personnel, pilots, and Flight Schedulers including the development of training materials, providing the instruction and training.
You will be planning and organizing meetings, collecting data on system changes, proposed system enhancements, identifying future requirements and reporting needs.
You will ensure aircrew qualifications are current as required by NATOPS.
You will be the sole squadron representative for all aircrew logbook edits and entries.
You will be responsible for the management of the aircrew logbooks during check-in, on occasions of audits, and check-out.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following:1) Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of flight test operations and flight scheduling programs; 2) Knowledge and skill to plan, schedule and conduct projects and studies to evaluate and recommend ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work operation in support of the VX-30 Flight Test Program and Operations; 3) Knowledge and skill as applied in the conducting of studies, analyzing findings and making recommendation on flight test operating programs.
