Duties

Participates in Division efforts related to health, nutrition, and wellness, as well as participating in committees, events, and special programs sponsored. Monitors approved contractual agreements and contractor activities with the Program Manager to ensure that services are delivered in accordance with the terms and conditions of Use Agreements. Serves as the representative in the planning and coordination of facility renovations between ORS and the contractors, Reviews and recommends action on requisitions for commercial kitchen equipment, furniture, supplies, and other materials to be provided to the contractors in order to support quality program activities and delivery. Participates in the preparation of reports, plans, and other documents using information generated from various NIH databases, and those developed by the incumbent. Reviews feedback received from employees, contractors, and other sources of information addressing the quality of services provided. Recommends appropriate changes in existing policies, methods, procedures, and practices designed to enhance the quality, effectiveness, and responsiveness of the services provided.

Requirements

In order to qualify for the GS-11 level, you must meet the following requirements: In order to qualify for a Program Specialist, Gs-0301 position at the GS-11 level, you must: A. completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or an LL.M., if related; OR B. 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: Participating in identifying customer needs for food and retail programs; participating in administering contracts for the provision of food and retail programs and services; perform quality control inspections for compliance of food and retail programs and contract requirements; participating in the preparation of reports and other written communications on food and retail programs. OR C. a combination of post baccalaureate education related to the position and experience that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position. In order to qualify for the GS-12 level, you must meet the following requirements: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: Managing food and retail programs for an organization; Providing advice and consultation on food and retail programs to managers and staff; administering contracts for the provision of food and retail programs and services; assessing compliance of food and retail programs and contract requirements; preparing reports and other written communications on food and retail programs.
