You will serve as a ENGINEERING and SAFETY (N9) in the SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH (N9) of NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE GROUP ELEVEN.
Duties
You will conduct accident and mishap investigations in all areas required by Navy regulations and requirements for which NSWG-11 is responsible.
You will devise safety guides and internal instructions for low safety and normal safety risks encountered in an assigned area of responsibility; identifies the need for higher level risk guides or instructions.
You will ensure new waste stream classifications and profiles for waste current and future are in the system based on safety, promoting best environmental management and economic practices.
You will assist in the management of one or more environmental and occupational safety and health programs for an echelon III Command.
You will perform a variety of activities involved in the development and implementation of relatively routine changes to regulations.
Requirements

- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Interpreting a variety of occupational circumstances and selecting, adapting, and recommending control measures to minimize or eliminate the possibility of serious danger to employees or damage to the environment.

Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
