The United States Space Force is a military service that organizes, trains, and equips space forces in order to protect U.S. and allied interests in space and to provide space capabilities to the joint force. USSF responsibilities include developing Guardians, acquiring military space systems, maturing the military doctrine for space power, and organizing space forces to present to our Combatant Commands.

Duties

Great opportunity to influence and build a new Space organization with flexibility and an autonomous work environment. Serve as Lead Cyber Inspections Officer. Provides planning and organization of inspection preparation activities in support of the Space Operations Command Inspector General mission. Includes functional responsibility for planning and execution of logistical support/resources for all assigned inspection activities.

  • This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include; Planning and carrying out assignments independently; conceiving and defining solutions to highly complex problems; analyzing, interpreting, and reporting findings of projects; and guiding technical and programmatic work of team members in comparable junior grades. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of SpOC operations, CYBER, logistics and support functions. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices and procedures. Ability to plan, organize and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization. Ability to successfully communicate both orally and written. Ability to perform using MS Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Cold Fusion, Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and Internet functions. Knowledge of current system software used at the organization to include operating system and application software packages, including PDA, DEAMS, IG Central and MicroBAS. Ability to use good judgment, show logical thought processes, and exhibit analytical ability. Knowledge of database management concepts, operations, design principles, methodologies and approaches used in designing, developing, testing, implementing, managing and maintaining database systems that meet current and future organizational business requirements. Knowledge of the agency, command, installation and industry database processing standards, policies and procedures. Ability to analyze component interrelationships and evaluate computer database systems and computer applications. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
