This position is in the Office of Environmental Justice and External Civil Rights, Office of Resource Management and Communications. About: The Office of Environmental Justice and External Civil Rights This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.  Partial work-from-home flexibilities may be authorized.

Qualifications

We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below: To qualify for the GS-14 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-13 level defined as developing, implementing, and/or evaluating information programs or communication strategies for an organization; and briefing management on communication issues. Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: 1) Knowledge of public affairs concepts, methods, and techniques; 2) Knowledge of administrative laws, policies, and regulations; 3) Skill in written communication sufficient to draft, revise and finalize policy statements and/or presentations; 4) Ability to evaluate program effectiveness and provide recommendations; 5) Skill in oral communication sufficient to present Agency strategies, objectives and goals in formal settings; 6) Skill in advising management officials on aspects of public affairs programs; 7) Skill in utilization of various communication tools; 8) Ability to present technical information to various audiences.
