This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DIB & MRTFB to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Employees work a 4 day-10-hour work week, Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sierra Army Depot is located in the rural northeast California town of Herlong, California. Child care facilities are available.

Duties

Instruct, coordinate and facilitate Sierra Army Depot educational and instructional programs. Conduct independent research and evaluation of training and educational material. Develop lesson plans (to standard) and complete programs of instruction with a list of references used. Accurately follow approved/established lesson plans and Programs of Instruction which indicate subjects to be taught. Analyze instructional material, equipment facilities and methods in light of objectives and student needs and make recommendations for changes to improve the course. Maintain accurate records of all data, training requests, after action reports, historical data, lessons learned, and applications for training. Serve as a liaison for the Total Army Sponsorship Program (TASP).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Teaching in an educational program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment; Developing or assisting in the implementation of educational training programs; Creating and implementing training materials, aids, devices and/or evaluation tools in support of organizational operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: adult education, educational leadership, curriculum development (official transcripts required for credit). OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages (official transcripts required for credit).
