This position is located in the Division of Administration (DOA), Corporate Services Branch (CSB), Facilities Operations Section (FOS), Arlington, Virginia of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. Applicants must be able to work a full-time or part-time schedule. Duties

This position is established for the purpose of providing developmental work experience to students under the Pathways Program. Emphasis for this position is on gaining knowledge and hands on experience. Serves as a student trainee for the FDIC’s headquarter buildings.

Qualifications

Education requirements are established by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) for Pathway Intern positions and must be met by the closing date of this announcement.   To be found eligible for this program, applicants must: (1) be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in a degree seeking program at a qualifying educational institution on a full or half-time basis; (2) have a minimum cumulative (overall) GPA of 2.50 out of 4.0; and (3) be in good academic standing. Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education: You must have completion of one full academic year of graduate level (18 semester hours) education; OR have a Bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement (as evidenced by class standing in the upper third of the graduating class; 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale for all academic work; grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale in the major field of study; or election to membership in a national honor scholastic society) Click here.  OR  Specialized experience: Specialized experience is experience in 1) facilities-related operations and maintenance, repair, and improvement projects, or 2) facilities-related inspections; Also experience must involve conducting research and analysis of data, directives, and policies for reports; and utilization of software applications to create presentations, draft plans, outlines, agendas, schedules, briefing materials, meeting notes and reports.  OR  Combination of Education and Experience - Your current education completed is credited as a percentage of the education required for the grade level and your current experience is credited as a percentage of the total experience required for the grade level. The two percentages are added and must equal 100% in order to qualify for the desired grade level.
