You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN) in the INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIVISION, CORPORATE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of CARDEROCK DIV NS.

Duties

You will serve as the Information Technology Site Lead and Enterprise Cybersecurity lead and advocate to the Activity Command Information Officer (ACIO) / Enterprise IT division as the Site Information Officer (SIO). You will oversee and direct the execution of Enterprise Level Digital Transformation/Strategy Initiatives at the west coast sites. You will support the maintenance, troubleshooting, expansion, and upgrade of Research, Development, Testing and Evaluating and NMCI network/server infrastructure, including wired and wireless technologies. You will provide high level IT support and network level troubleshooting, VTC/Collaboration Tool service resolutions, and Assessment and Authorization coordination and support. You will be responsible for providing all aspects of Flank Speed (Navy O365) support to include but not limited to, account creation, personal changes, troubleshooting, workforce training, and developing documentation. You will manage Cybersecurity related matters incident response for IT issues and spills including containment, mitigation, documentation, remediation, and reviewing and submitting IT Security Exceptions.

  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 722-ISSM level Advanced within 12 months of appointment.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating network infrastructure and service delivery requirements to provide guidance and problem resolution for the life cycle management and support of Information Technology assets. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
