Duties
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As a Supervisory Intelligence Operations Specialist, you will use your knowledge of and experience with the Immediate Office of the Secretary, Office of National Security (ONS) to optimize business results and customer experience by:
Advising the ONS Director and the ONS Deputy Director on management policy, intelligence operations, and procedures, and recommend changes to meet the Office of National Security mission requirements and program priorities.
Providing intelligence briefing and written analytical products to the HHS Secretary, Deputy Secretary, ONS Director, ONS Deputy Director and other senior HHS officials/policy makers on information relating to terrorists, unaccompanied children immigration and international issues relevant to the department's mission.
Working with HHS Operating and Staff Divisions to ensure the integration of intelligence information into policy and operational decisions in support of national security and the protection of HHS employees, programs, facilities, and information.
Conducting research and analysis to provide intelligence, law enforcement or other relevant information to personnel in support of ONS mission requirements such as defensive counterintelligence, cyber, and security programs and operations.
Fostering and maintain effective working relationships with the IC, Department of Homeland Security, and other Federal Departments and Agencies.
Providing supportive interaction with leadership, management and personnel within ONS.
Monitoring intelligence program designed to fill the informational gaps in existing information and intelligence and assisting in making the dissemination of intelligence more efficient, timely and effective.
Representing ONS and the Department with other government entities and ensures HHS remains aware of all terrorists, international and other current strategic, homeland security information and intelligence impacting the Department.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service performing the three out of the 4 of the following: (1) advising senior officials on policy and intelligence information; (2) developing and implementing intelligence policies and procedures consistent with an organizations 'mission; (3) collaborating with various stakeholders on intelligence; (4) applying laws and regulations to intelligence and non-intelligence organizations.
