Serves as the Deputy Division Director for the Drug Abatement Division, AAM-800.

Duties

Reports directly to the Division Director to address all of the ad-hoc issues and daily matters that warrant special attention of the Division Director. Serves as alternate to the Director, sharing fully in responsibilities for the overall planning and direction of all organizational activities. In partnership with the Director, the Deputy is an integral part to management's efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
  • Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
  • A one-year supervisor/managerial probationary period may be required.
  • Successful completion of a security investigation may be required.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the FV-K (FG/GS 15) level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-J (FG/GS 14) level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position to be filled, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE includes: managing a diverse workforce and/or leading others; planning and assigning work, project management, decision making, improving and controlling performance; selecting employees and promoting Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), human relations and employee participation; and managing, providing oversight and fulfilling requests in the programs responsible for Drug and Alcohol Compliance and Enforcement. Examples of specialized experience should be included in your resume. Qualifications must be met by the closing date of the vacancy announcement.
