About the Position: Branch Chief, incumbent is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating work involved in ensuring environmental compliance for the preservation of environmental, fish and wildlife, forest, and cultural resources related to water resources projects in the district. The Engineers (0810/0819) are on special salary table. The salary range is $129,880 - $168,841.

Duties

Plans, coordinates, and supervises the activities of subordinate professionals. Provides oversight and guidance on studies and analyses related to ecological interaction, fish and wildlife enhancement, endangered species, environmental quality, waterfowl management. Conducts and documents ecological base studies to provide a source of environmental, physical, and other data for specified geographical areas. Prepares recreation studies related to benefits, needs, and commercial leases within the District. Analyzes recreation benefits by estimating initial day-use and related demands/needs and evaluating these in terms of appropriate recreational values.
