This position is located in the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Employment and Training Administration (ETA), Office of Workforce Investment (OWI). OWI is responsible for implementing an integrated national workforce investment system that supports economic growth and provides workers with the information, advice, job search assistance, supportive services, and training for in-demand industries and occupations needed to get and keep good jobs. This position is outside the bargaining unit.

Duties

As the Supervisory Workforce Analyst, your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Requirements

  • Candidate required to obtain the necessary security/investigation level.
  • Requires a probationary period if the requirement has not been met.
  • Requires a supervisory probationary period if the requirement has not been met.

Qualifications

You must meet the Basic Requirements (Individual Occupational Requirement--IOR) listed in the "Education Requirements" section and the "Specialized Experience" to qualify for Supervisory Workforce Analyst, as described below. Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience at the next lower grade level, GS-13, in the Federal Service or equivalent. Specialized Experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Definition of Specialized Experience includes ALL of the following: One year experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal government with the public workforce development programs authorized by Title I of WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) and/or programs authorized by the Trade Act, the Older Americans Act, and/or the ACWIA (American Competitiveness and Workforce Improvement Act), that deliver employment and training services, as follows: Managing workforce development programs including implementing policies and procedures, and developing programmatic requirements. Providing technical assistance and support to stakeholders in understanding and implementing the above-mentioned programs. WHEN DOCUMENTING EXPERIENCE IN YOUR RESUME, PLEASE BE CLEAR AND SPECIFIC. Education

In addition to meeting the Specialized Experience requirement, all applicants must meet the Individual Occupational Requirement (IOR) for the 0140 Workforce Analyst occupational series with:

A. EDUCATION: Degree from an accredited college or university that included at least 30 semester hours in one or a combination of the following: sociology, psychology, economics, political science, or allied social science subjects that are especially pertinent to knowledge and understanding of employment and training programs;
-OR-
B. COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Courses in an accredited college or university consisting of at least 30 semester hours in one or a combination of the following: sociology, psychology, economics, political science, or allied social science subjects that are especially pertinent to knowledge and understanding of employment and training programs AND experience directly related to the work of this position at the next lower grade level. The combined total must equal 100%.
