Duties
The position is located in the Department of Justice (DOJ), Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA), Office of the Chief of Human Resources Officer (OCHRO). As a Senior Advisor serves as consultant and subject matter expert to EOUSA HR leadership, staff, and United States Attorney's Office (USAO) HR personnel on HR innovation strategies and activities. Typical work assignments will include:
-Provides analytical and strategic support for the evaluation and implementation of HR innovation opportunities.
-Performs complex analytical studies, provides insight into implications of findings, develops implementation plans, and serves as a champion for recommended innovation opportunities.
-Coordinates staff actions and ensures taskers, correspondence and other deliverables are timely, complete, and meet program requirements.
-Resolves a variety of conflicts of administrative policies and processes among organizational issues and clarifies guidelines.
-Interprets applicable regulations, laws, and/or prevailing practices on a variety of HR issues and renders sound advice and assistance.
-Assists and advises management officials in planning, establishing, and maintaining program activities and exercises initiative in developing additional activities designed to meet present and future requirements.
-Develops and conducts briefings to management and higher headquarters regarding operations, objectives, goals, and accomplishments.
Requirements
- You must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Initial appointment is conditioned upon a satisfactory pre-employment adjudication. This includes fingerprint, credit and tax checks, and drug testing. Continued employment is subject to a favorable adjudication of a background investigation.
- You must be registered for Selective Service, if applicable.
- If selected, you may be required to complete a one year probationary period.

Qualifications
GS-15: To be eligible at the GS-15 level, you must meet one full year of specialized experience at the GS-14 level in the Federal service performing the following types of duties: Providing authoritative advice, guidance, and support to organizational leadership on the interpretation of federal civilian human resources principles, concepts, laws and regulations; Developing and managing complex projects; Generating new concepts, principles, and operational methods in a variety of HR functional areas; and Recommending the development and implementation of human resources innovation opportunities to management.
