You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (OFFICE AUTOMATION) in the CNATT UNIT LEMOORE.

Duties

You will extract and compile information to create weekly, monthly, and annual reports. You will assemble and compile data and materials per management's request. You will enter data in an online information repository using office automation equipment and software. You will answer phones and directs calls to appropriate personnel. You will collaborate with staff in the office, and in other offices, to foster and maintain effective cooperative relationships to complete assignments. You will interpret administrative directives and instructions ensuring proper application.

Requirements

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing a full range of clerical, administrative and customer service support for personnel (e.g., pay, educational and other administrative assistance); 2) Utilizing various automated systems such as, the Master Military Pay Account (MMPA), Fleet Training Management Planning System (FLTMPS), Sales Force or other similar systems to enter, retrieve, track and produce reports and records; 3) Coordinating, preparing and verifying personnel documents and ensuring information is relayed to supporting organizations according to policies and standards; and 4) Utilizing Microsoft Office Suite programs, such as Word, Excel and SharePoint. Education

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successfully completed 4 years of education above high school
