You will serve as a Interdisciplinary: Supervisory General/Mechanical/Electrical/Aerospace Engineer in the Missiles Division, Naval Weapons Dept. of FARRAGUT TECHNICAL ANALYSIS CENTER.
All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
You will monitor subordinates and ensure the duties comply with the over-arching policy guidance applied to all Intelligence Production Centers across the Dept. of Defense.
You will be responsible for the scope, content, and accuracy of branch production.
You will review analyze and accredits products developed by subordinates, resolving complex and unusual issues as necessary and to meet production requirements and tradecraft standards.
You will plan for and execute branch level funding and resources.
You will supervise a civilian workforce of intelligence analysts, scientists, and engineers.
You will plan and assign work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts priorities and schedules for completion.
You will provide motivation and leadership to subordinates for achieving highest levels of proficiency.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional performing following duties such as: 1) Interpreting scientific and engineering analysts to make decisions which may impact the agency policies; 2) Providing technical and all-source intelligence products to produce a wide range of scientific intelligence products; 3) Providing the appropriate leadership to ensure all intelligence products meet appropriate standards and policies.

Education
A bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree (or higher) in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET); or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
