Duties

Required to supports FMWR events, activities and programs outside of the SFA branch. Procuring, storing and maintaining sports equipment, and supplies. Brief unit commanders of upcoming sporting events and activities. Technical knowledge at preparing all athletic fields, courts and athletic fields, courts and venues for all athletic competitions. Procure awards, uniforms, supplies and equipment for all sports activities.

Requirements

• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
• Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.

Qualifications

** Resume MUST clearly reflect the knowledge and experience listed under the minimum qualifications criteria below. ** Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrated experience in planning, supervising, administering or carrying out a sports program that included a variety of individual and team sports and guiding participants in developing the skills needed for participation in sports activities and teaching the techniques of various sports. This experience may have been gained managing or administering a sports program in a community, industrial activity, or secondary school or college; planning, teaching or evaluating a physical education curriculum for secondary or higher academic levels; or managing, umpiring, or officiating at amateur or professional athletic events, competitions, or games. Required experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade level. An undergraduate degree in physical education may be fully qualifying for this position.
