This position is in the Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Countermeasures Directorate, Office of Security Technology, Security Systems Integration Division, (DS/C/ST/SSI).
You will serve as a Program Manager to oversee and manage the Counter-Unmanned Aerial System Program (C-UAS), represent the program at Federal working groups, and provide expert recommendations and guidance to leadership on issues and matters associated with C-UAS technologies.
Duties
Manages the bureau's C-UAS Program and is responsible for conceptualizing, developing, implementing, analyzing, and guiding the C-UAS Program.
Serves as the program lead representing the Department's C-UAS Program at federal working groups.
Studies and analyzes Department and Bureau concepts, studies, forecasts, plans, and objectives to assess the impact on ST long and short-range goals, objectives, and strategic management planning.
Evaluates the effectiveness of the C-UAS program and operations in terms of mission accomplishment, quantity, and quality standards; procedural, policy, and regulatory compliance.
Serves as Government Technical Monitor for the technical monitoring and administration of all C -UAS contracts and agreements.
Requirements

Qualifications
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience overseeing the operational activities and functions of an Unmanned Aerial System Program.
Experience analyzing technical security equipment and recommending strategies to mitigate system vulnerabilities.
Experience providing technical expertise to senior level officials on a Counter-Unmanned Aerial System Program.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-14 position.
